Our Story

Cirugia De Lux was founded in Sialkot (Undivided India) in 1940, by late Mr. Prithvi Raj Puri. Following the partition of India, the business was relocated to Kolkata where it remained operational for the next 30 years. During this time we gained experience and knowledge about the high quality of products which are needed by veterinarians and animal health care professionals in India. Recognition followed success and allowed us to expand to other cities across the country, where we have continued to be specialists in the trade of veterinary instruments, animal care equipment and appliances. In 1975 the business was re-organised and began functioning from Mumbai which serves as its head office till today.

Hasbets

Cirugia De Lux was further expanded with the addition of a new division ‘Hasbets India’, founded by Mr. Harish Puri in 1990. While Cirugia also promoted Indian products, Hasbets introduced foreign products to the Indian market. Through the years, Hasbets has partnered with some of the biggest names in the business, working closely to raise the standard of what is available in the country.

Our influence for over 75 years has not only helped increase the working efficiency of our customers in a time-saving and cost-effective manner but has also helped shape the market, thereby building up the industry. Since inception our goal has been to offer top products to the animal health care sector and make our customers understand the value of quality and high level workmanship. We are constantly trying to modernize and add new and innovative products to the market. To achieve this we continue to work extensively with industry professionals whether foreign or Indian to get a better understanding of what is needed and beneficial to the final user.

Today, Cirugia still being a family owned business, is running in its 3rd generation with the inclusion of Mr. Karan Puri and shall continue to forge solid relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.
